Single-Unit Dry Cabin
Ozark foothills, 340 sq ft
County said no. Perc test failed three times. The owner-builder had framed the whole cabin before realizing the ridge was solid limestone six inches down. No septic. No problem. One Sun-Mar Excel NE, a 4″ vent stack through the shed dormer, and a 12 CFM inline fan — total job time: 11 hours.
Garage-to-ADU
Suburban lot, no sewer stub
The permit office wanted a full sewer lateral — $18,000 and 6 weeks of street work. The homeowner called us instead. NSF/ANSI 41-certified unit, documented per local health code, permit pulled in 4 days. Tenant moved in on schedule.
THOW Pre-Inspection
24 ft trailer, county inspection Tuesday
Tuesday morning inspection. They called Friday afternoon. RV cassette was leaking, code officer had already flagged it. We sourced a Nature's Head unit overnight, installed Saturday, documented the full vent path Sunday. Inspector signed off at 9:14 AM.
